Two-Photon Activated Photochromic Polymers
|
|
|
|
 |
The project is aimed at developing photochromic
materials activated by two-photon excitation.
Two-photon activated
photochromic materials provide nanometric
resolution in the
photoinduced process. The novelty of this project
resides in developing
a polymeric matrix that works as two-photon
absorption antenna with
covalently linked photochromic units. This
approach as the potential to
overcome issues connected with the low two-photon
absorption of the PC
molecules, at the same time addressing the
limitations of doping
polymers with PC units.

SolarNHyMat - Nanostructured Hybrid Materials
for Solar
Cells
|
|
|
|
 |
The “SolarNHyMat” project aims to foster
essential
progress in the performance of organic solar cells
devices by covalent
incorporation of acceptor molecules on the walls
of mesoporous silica
nanostructured materials and encapsulation of
donor polymers on the
pores of those same silica materials, in order to
control phase
segregation and minimize the recombination
process, and improve charge
separation and increase carrier’s mobility.
